couple of questions concerning my 95 bird . the irs in it appears to me to be built around the 8.8 diff . is it ? and am i to assume that any 8.8 gear etc. will fit it or ........... two been studying as much as possible on the 4.6 in it 'tween a truck rewire and flatty work , and i've discovered mine is a romeo and got a lot of info on what fits and doesn't amongst the different mods , but i keep reading and to my understanding that the mustang was blessed with a better flowing intake irregardless of romeo or windsor architecture . true or false ??? also seen where in most cases in milder applications or seemingly looked over apps like the birds , that headers when you figure cost versus power output / gains arent that effective as the oe pieces are fairly efficient . again is this so ??? ask me 'bout my flatty , 390's or ... i can prolly answer ya but as i've said these are a weebit diff to me ...........

You should have the 8.8 behind a V8. I have 3.90's in my rear dif.

is the mustang parts interchangeable , as a whole what is and isnt between the romeo and windsor , . i'm trying to figure out what i can use from others and not , as i run across a lot of 'stang parts cheap , and a few others with 4.6's in 'em as whole cars , it seems that as i wander off and research that everything is so dain model specific and i dont wanna drop cash destined for the 53 on a hot part at a price you cant refuse , just to discover it wont work . i just came across a deal on a set of pi windsor heads , and aftermarket cams and valvetrain , heads were new , minor port work , for 600 bucks but shyed away as i cant seem to find the info on the interchangeability ............................... dain things becoming as much of a challenge as my flatty ..............................

nothing from a 4.6 will fit a winsor at all not the trans not the serpintine system fuel system comp none of it the rear end is independent which make the car useless for anything but maybe road racing and with limited tire and wheel combos that is even dodgy .

the 4.6 / mod motors are built in two plants , one in michigan , the romeo that i have and another built in windsor ontario , hence it being called a windsor just like the previous 302 / 351's . so the windsor i'm asking about is the mod motor .......................
