problem with my bird
I have a 92, V6, 3.8. I've had problems before where I would be driving it and when I would come to a stop and get ready to go again it would idle low and then I would have to step on the gas more to get it moving. Ok now the other day I needed to go some where and when I came to a stop and went to step on the gas to go, it died on me. So I went to start it back up and it just cranks and nothing else. So I did it again, and still just cranks but then I kept my foot on the gas and it finally turned over but then when I put it in drive it died again. I did what I did before that and this time when I put it in drive to go I put the gas to the floor then it stayed running. Today I went to check it out again to see if maybe it was just acting up that day. I let it warm up longer and took it around the block, it didn't want to stay running at the stop signs. I got it back home and parked in the parking lot and just let it run for a bit. I then put the car in reverse back out of the spot put it in drive and it shut off, again I had to keep my foot on the gas while starting it to get it going.
Soooo, what could be wrong? I was told the Mass air flow sensor (which I found out costs a bit) and then when I searched the internet there was various other sensors other people were commenting on. (I'm new to this so I hope I did this right)
