I am working on a 1995 Ford Thunderbird trying to replace the rear rotors and brakes but I cant get the rear calipers to retract. I have a manual that says to twist them clockwise until they seat back against the piston. I've been turning them with no results. I've never seen this before and am lost as to what to do. Can anyone please help!

If the pads were badly worn , try pushing the piston into the calliper as you turn it .

They were "Beyond" worn badly! I will give that a try and see what happens.

Thanks for the help! pushing in on the piston while turning it clockwise worked like a charm.
