I decided to change the plugs in my recently acquired 97 3.8 v6 t-bird

Motorcraft AWSF44PP, came out--and up to now havent been able to find

any in the UK!! I managed to cross ref them to a champion RS145LC, but

the originals only have half the thread of the champs, so when I try to

screw them in, they picking up loads of crud, and jamming up the threads.

Has anyone had the same problem--and how do I solve it??

Thanks for that--but I think I will have to clear the plug holes with a tap

have you any idea of the size that I will need?
