This transmission may be identified by the tag attached to the upper righthand extension housing to transmission case bolt. The tag includes model prefix and suffix, a service identification number, and a build date code. The service identification number indicates changes to service details which affect interchangeability when the transmission model is not changed. For interpretation of this number the Ford Master Parts Catalog should be consulted.

Re: what tranny do i have in my 94 t-bird

well went and had my tranny looked at and it is going bad. they said i caught it early enough that it would be a good rebuild. where do i find that kit. and the code for the check engine was my (maf) sensor. i sure was hoping it was something to do with the tranny and would be a easy fix.

Rockauto has the kit and there's a discount for the members here. Check their forum for the code or check jwko's post.
