I purchased a 2001 Cougar wit a 2.0 engine and was told the CamShaft Sensor was bad. Is the replacement as simple a replacing the sensor on the outside of the block or is it necessary to have the special tools and take to top off the motor. Any advice greatly appreciated.
If it's a 2.0L DOHC Zetec engine, the cam sensor should be (looking from the front of the car) at the back of the cylinder head, to the right side of injector No4 and a bit higher.
