If I missed a thread I am sorry but I need to replace the worn out yellow headlights in my 1988 XR-7 cougar. I have pulled these apart twice now and polished them but you still just can't see at night with them. I do not want to spend a fortune but would love to be able to see at night again. Does any one know I can do? Thanks!!

You can search for used ones here. They may have some good ones. They tell in the left column if they are dull, pitted etc. Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

I just remembered there was a guide somewhere and here it is. I never tried it but it's supposed to work pretty good. TCCoA Tech Articles

Thank you. I have actualy done this already and the plastic is just to far gone. It is a little better don't get me wrong but you have to run around with your lights on bright just to keep from running in the ditch. I am going to try and find some new(used) ones. Thanks.
