bclem Registered User Join Date: Oct 2010 Posts: 1	99 motor swap options ? Hi, I picked up a 99 Cougar today with a bad 2.5 motor in it with the intention of building it for my daughter. The PO ran it hot until it stopped running. Now it spins over like it has little or no compression and there is fresh oil standing inside the intake air boot between the intake manifold and air cleaner box. Also the PO says that just before the car quit running it was smoking badly. My questions are: Does anyone have a theory for what is damaged in the motor ? What vehicles would be good engine donors ? TIA for any help with this. Bill
