hi you all
i am new here but was allready lurking here.
i have a 1999 ford cougar , changed rear brake pads 5000 kms ago.
sometimes the brake pad detection light would not turn off after a damp night , then further in the day when the brakes were used a couple of times there was no problem , it sometimes did this(1 to 10 damp night's).
now i changed the front brake pads and the light stay's on , checked he wiring at the brake pads(also in the rear) and everything is correct , the front has only one wire at the brake pad(on the left).
so does anybody know how to get this light off in the panel on the roof?

Do you mean the ABS light? I don't know of any lights for a brake pad. There's also a light for low brake fluid and/or park brake.

no it is the light in the panel on the roof , it is strictly for brake pad wear
