Brake problem ? on 90 cougar sc car - Ford Forums

Has a hard pedal is there any given problems with this high pressure system? car had set 2yrs before I acquired it,both lights are on abs and brake full on fluid. I haven't checked fuses yet but i figured theres a given problem with these? thanks any help is appreceiated because if not i will have to load on trailer and take to work to scan it,car runs good but need to get her stopping lol

Try the ABS pump relay. On the 90 TBird SC I used to have, it was on the right upper inner fender area, easy to get to with the hood up. Symptom when it went bad - ABS light on, the pump wouldn't pump up, pedal went almost to the floor, had to push like heck to get the car to (barely) slow down. The replacement relay was $18 at the dealer in '92.

Ill look into it,also all fuses are good.I should have stated that mine is the oppisite the pedal is hard as hell and barely pushes down, but may still be the same deal.
