i have a good v6 engine and auto trans out of my daughters 2002 cougar, went and bought a 1999 cougar to swap out engine and trans. what all has to be done to make the 2002 engine work in the 1999 model? lokks like the fuel system is different and possible the engine harness. thanks for any help.

Looks like they added quite a bit to the newer generation. I don't think the basic engine changed, just how much they monitored it. I'd look at swapping the intakes and fuel rails. Since you can pretty much sit the engines side by side, swap out what's different. If someone knows better, please jump in!

have called a couple junk yards but haven't gotten any good anwsers to what all needs changed out to make it work. thanks for any help
