we have a 2000 Cougar with the problems described in the Ford recall for the fuel delivery module. I just called the Ford 800 number to see about getting ithe FDM replaced under the recall. They looked it up and do not see it. I gave her the recall number too. They instructed to take it to the dealer and have it diagnosed.

Anyone else have this problem with Ford?

I have also tried to look up the part number for the FDM. I can find fuel filters and fuel pumps but nothing noted as the Fuel Delivery Module.

Is there a specific part? Or is it the filter and pump?

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

I just had this recall work done onmy 1999 Mercury Cougar on 3/27/2008 at no cost at a Mercury dealer. The actual recall numbers is 04N02, which is replacement of Fuel Delivery Module (Sender and Pump Assembly).

I called the Mercury customer service number first, to verify that my VIN was covered.
