mom9721 Registered User Join Date: May 2005 Posts: 2	Fuel smell in 2000 Cougar Our 2000 Cougar all of a sudden has a fuel smell inside the car. It had been sitting all day and when getting in the car late afternoon, a strong fuel smell was noticed. Took it to the Ford dealer and they can't seem to find any problem. It's been 6 days since this started. The smell isn't as strong, but it's still there. Any ideas, suggestions?
