My son has somehow lost the tire iron that came with his 2000 Mercury Cougar
- though, if you saw the car's cargo area that fact would not be surprising!
None of the tire irons we've borrowed from various cars owned by family and
friends work on his car. So my question is - WHERE CAN WE BUY A TIRE
IRON THAT WILL WORK ON THIS CAR? Is there a special size (something
metric-y, I'm sure) that I can buy or order?
Short of having his car towed from his job (where it has sat with a flat for the past 4 days) to a tire shop to have the tire taken off, does anyone have any
suggestions? Even if he has a tire shop remove the tire, I don't like the idea of him not having such a crucial piece of emergency car repair gear in the car - especially since he's turning the car over to his little sister next month.
