hi I've a XR7 cat, 93 supercharged, need to remove the original car audio i dont know how to do it, it's just for repair it, pls some one to know how, lend me a hand, need help. thanks

if its the kind of stock deck i think it is it should have square holes around it which u insert these special keys to pull it out. mine got done at a futureshop so i never actually did it myself but u can always run it by a car audio place to pull it out for u..shouldn't cost u much if anything

Also if you want you can just cut a clothes hanger into two straight pieces and bend them to fit the holes. easier and cheaper than having to buy the pins

if could hijack this thread for a moment...

I need to pull the stock stereo out, as it seems I've got a cd stuck in there. I've been told that I need to have the audio unit key code, presumeably because I will need to cut power from the unit. Supposedly I may obtain said code from the dealer, but what do I do with it? Where would I be prompted to enter it?

Sorry to sound numpty. Just don't do a lot of this kind of work. I've taken over OH's 02 Cougar and would just like the CD player to work again
