Does anyone know anything about what would be involved when putting a manual transmission into a cougar? On mustangs the swap is fairly easy but what about on the cougar? My transmission just failed and im seriously looking at putting a manual in, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I'm in the same boat with my 92'. The aod just gave out on me. I hear that the t-5's out of the mustangs will work if you get all the supporting stuff and a crossmember. It depends on what year yours is, I have a friend with an 02' cougar and he wants to put a 3.0L manual swap in it.
