removing driver's seat

I need to remove drivers seat to get repadded as RHS support bar in seat is digging into me. Is this easy to do as someone suggested you have to return to Ford as the safety bag in the seat will go off?? Anyone got any hands on advice??

Re: removing driver's seat

Hi mate
As long as you disconnect the battery first and wait a couple of minutes before unplugging the connector at the base of the seat, the airbag shouldn't go off. Don't touch the pins inside the connector though, as sometimes we carry around enough static electricity to make them deploy. cheers
