Thinking About Buying a Cougar

Seen this car and want it badly.

Alot of people have been giving me negative views on this car saying no one bought it and its was very unpopular when released due to its sluggishness at slow speeds is that true or a myth.

Whats the cougar like for driving smoothness and also road handling and most important petrol?

Re: Thinking About Buying a Cougar

I assume because you used the word "petrol" that you're looking at the UK cougar?

If so, then what you're looking at is basically just a mondeo with much sexier lines. It was built on the mondeo chassis and has mondeo drivetrains. Fuel consumption will be similar to that of a 2.0 Zetec or 2.5 duratec Mondeo, depending on what engine choice you're looking at.

Re: Thinking About Buying a Cougar

yeah a UK version 2.0 zetec. I just noticed that this maybe an american forum! Instead of British.

Any idea what the petrol is like for town/motorway driving?

Re: Thinking About Buying a Cougar

The UK 2.0 Zetec Cougar with manual transmission is rated at 8.3 l/100 km by NEFC ratings.
