The wiper arms work but the fluild won't spray

My windshield washer suddenly stop working......the wiper arms work but the fluild won't spray....

Does anyone know if the wiper arms and the fluid motor share the same fuse (20A)? I check my manual and only see the fuse for wipers and didn't see the fuse for fluid motor. anyone know where is the fuse for the fluid motor?

Re: The wiper arms work but the fluild won't spray

You maybe right, I am in Canada, almost -30c now. I thought if I use -40C windshield washer the washer pump will not be frozen. Maybe I am wrong. Too bad, I dont have a warm parkade to heat my car up....

I hope the pump will be live again next spring. .(crossing fingers :)

It's bad over here , but not -30!!! (yet) . I was caught on the hop by this weather and didn't put any washer anti freeze into any of the family cars , resulting in all having frozen pumps/ washers .Guess who is not very popular now???? I have since added antifreeze , but to late , still frozen . Just be careful you dont try them too often , if pump frozen , may blow fuse . You dont realise how important they are until you go to clear screen and they dont work .

Did you ever figure out what was wrong? I have a similar problem. When I push the button you hear the motor(or whatever it is that causes the spray to come out) and the wipers start but no fluid comes out. I would think it was the cold like you were saying but its warm, about 70-80 degrees.

The nozzle could be clogged. Pull the hose off and see if it will pump fluid through the hose.

If it doesn't, try it with the engine off and see if you hear the pump run.
