Hi all do any of you know where I can get some 100 mph tape from??
Maybe you should ask someone from SA, they seem to be able to have there cars held together with it and still get Rego.
The best brand is Polyken, when I was in the US earlier in the year Home Depot was my friend and I brought back 2 rolls just in case, I haven't seen anyone in Oz selling it, but I did find the local music store had some other brand like Nashuatec or something and it always seemed ok back in the days at school trying to run sound cables across the hall roof

Any airforce techo should have ready access to it.
We used rolls and rolls daily when I was in the airforce. The green stuff with cloth in it is just the best. Unfortunately, I did not think of getting any before I got out.

You can get it from any place that does ducted heating and cooling systems or just go down to your local Blackwoods or Industrial Supplies Shop.
Canoeists called it canoe tape, plumbers call it plumber tape, the airline industry call it 1,000mph tape, every racer calls it 100mph tape and the bike racers call it race tape, but it’s all the same stuff. Why pay for the fancy brand when it’s all pretty well the same? I have been using the silver stuff for ages on everything from motor bikes to dive gear and inflatable boats. The black stuff with the webbing in it is fantastic but the glue is very hard to get off if you leave it on a long time.
Up here in Indonesia they use raffia like we use duct tape, everything is just tied up in ever increasing amounts of the stuff to keep it going…..
Be careful, some cheaper duct tape is plastic based, not cloth based.
Makes it much harder to tear into strips and I believe the cloth based duct tape (more commonly referred to as 100 mph tape, canoe tape, plumber tape, etc) sticks better.
