2005 GT-P Driveline noises

Hi, i recently purchased a 2005 BA mk2 GT-P and have found there is a noise in the driveline. 1st thing in the morning the noise is gone, once everything is warm there seems to be a tailshaft sort of clunking in 1st and 2nd gears but only at low speed or upon changing gears. The service centre said the noise is not excessive for this model but if you ask me the noise shouldn't exist at all. Has anyone else had this problem and were you able to rectify it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Happy new year!!!!!!

Mate this problem has been there since the BA first arrived. Its called drive line snatch.
Im with you, it should not be there at all, & Ford have tried to side step the issue since 2002. What gets me is they say its nornal/within tollarnce for that model. Well how come some dont have it at all. If they can make one without it , why not make all without it..

Re: 2005 GT-P Driveline noises

I must of bought the only gtp in australia without any problems!I have hardly any issues with it, besides that the front end is to low and it always scrapes reversing out my driveway(even more so than my beloved old xygt replica with the chin spoiler!)I did have a broken hose clamp joining my exhaust to the cats, which made an annoying rattle, but as soon as that was repaired the cars been an absolute pleasure to own and drive!
