svtang, if we all behave there is no need for it. We are all adults.
Exactly,
We are all here to enjoy our cars and each others company. Lets keep it civil and we can all get along just fine.

Well i too don't wish to get into a dyno debate, especially seeing that i own one, but in all the testing i've done and other shops up here have done, a good rule of thumb seems to be that what ever kw's are rated at the flywheel from factory they seem to equate to hp at the tyres, for example my 240kw standard xr6t made 229.18hp at the tyres or 171.8kw. I also tested a 290 pursuit ute that made 290.8hp at the tyres. I also had another competitors shop test a 290kw gtp and they came up with the same reading of 290.8hp at the tyres (keeping in mind though both of us weren't using shootout mode).
I put this up to anyone that's up for a fun day, i'll offer my dyno and shop to all forum members and friends for a dyno day where any funds raised go to the forums to help with running costs. This way everyone can have a fun day and compare there readings in a friendly atmosphere, what do you say guys who's up for it?
dyno's are only usefull for tuning and measuring power increase for mods...why dont any of you run your cars down the 1/4 mile and see what they really do....isnt that the real way to measure horses?

The real way to measure real Horse Power (or kW if thats your fancy) produced by the Engine is with an Engine Dyno.
