cool

It was a great day and thanks to all the organisers.

SVTANG your car sounds f#cking awesome!

Well I made 142.5 rwkws AUI VCT Manual
My brother in law made 129 rwkws AUII VCT Auto (His is stock).

Are these figures fairly right?
I have done air intake, K&N, and exhaust mods.

PS. My car is dual fuel, and on the second run I removed
the gas mixer from the intake pipe, and taped up the hole to
get better airflow to the throttle body. To my surprise I actually
lost power! I went from 142.5 to 138! The guy at the dyno was
confused, but said that to be fair to the test I should have reset
the computer first. Anyway interesting...

The XR6T with $1600 APS chip did 240rwkws (BFYB Champion)

I have run my XR8 at the Calder drags. Ran a 14.4 with too much wheelspin and only 1600 km on the clock. Might lower the tyre pressures a little next time and with more k's on the clock i'm confident of running a 14 flat.

I remember seeing your car there a few weeks ago with the Geelong XR Club. What mph were you running at the end of the strip?

The turbos made great power and are great cars but the ones pointed out were mostly manuals. I assume the one XR8 manual only had a few k's on the clock as it made the least power of them all. It would have been good to see what a few run in XR8 manuals made to give a more accurate comparison, although it was a well organised event and unfortunately I was only able to attend for a short period. Well done guys.

my pursuit managed 231.5 rwkw & it is an auto with 2350 km's on the clock, the other pursuit that ran was a manual from what i can remember & ran around 230.8 rwkw

Maybe the Tremecs being so big and heavy they soak up more power than say a T5.
