Ok, so which one of you melb T3 owners is gunna contact YT and report back here?

Because the Ford spec sheets says 1.7 we want to know what YT fitted/supplied - ratio, part no. and whether single or twin shaft

1st to volunteer gets the job! Thanks in advance

This is the response I got..

"All the rockers we supplied to Tickford were the 1.7.The heads would have to
be modified to fit the YT6314 as they are a 7/16 shaft type rocker. All the
heads we supplied Tickford had standard rocker post.Hope this helps you. "

Doesn't help really. The RR's in my car don't have numbers stamped into them.

Who else has/will lifted their rocker cover to see what's on their motor?

Chris has cracked a few of these engines now and has yet to see 1.7 rockers. So far is it only Sbutlers engine that we know has 1.7rr?

I didn't say mine had 1.7s I said that all the brochers, all the add's all the posters I have, it states the 5.6 250KW engine's come fitted with[1.72 roller rockers]....

As I said in an other post, The T3s were bending rockers so the dealers were fitting 1.65s as a warrentee job, but whan FPV took over I dont think they were called back to have the 1.72 refitted, I will ring a guy I know that told me all about this some time ago, and see if he can shed some light on this. But thats what I know about this 1.65 V 1.72 issue.

Its all a bit odd, dont ya think??
