Thanks for the cam specs - handy to know if I want to go bigger later.

Just chkd the Y/T site. 6324's are the 1.7's and the other one listed 6324's are 1.65 ratio. These are both twin shaft models.

Will lift one rocker cover to see what I have as there are rumors some T3's are not fitted with the 1.7's.

Can anyone throw any light on this for sure?

As far as I know, some T3s were bending and braking the 1.72s so as a fast fix ,FTe dealers were replacing them with 1.6 but never got those cars back to fit them back to 1.72. Thats the how story goes as I know it.

Re: 5.6 T3 cylinder heads

The rockers are a 1.65, and are a street terra bolt on non adjustable.

The heads do have the larger valve, and flow around 220cfm @500.

The ports are cnc matched.

Hope this helps.

Maybe your right but my specs come straight from an internal Ford specification document sent to dealers. Produced April 2002

All very interesting this, my sales guff says 1.72 rockers, so if they are indeed 1.65 as you say, would that be false addvatising, and I dont think Ford would have left themselfs open to that.
Just had a look at TS 50s Persuit 250 ute poster from Ford, and it says the same thing 1.72 roller rockers.....
I"ll have to get to the bottom of this one.....

Yes, I know.

I'm just an engine builder, not a ford employee. Im happy to share the info I have found on the T3, Ive built about a half dozen or so.

Ive never seen a 1.72, they are street series yella terra bolt on 1.65.
Valves are ferrea, springs are crane, retainers are stock rotating type, etc.

Rods are argo, cheap laser cut girdle, crankshaft rebuilders crank and ACL pistons with an 8cc dish and ceramic coat.
