I'm just an engine builder, not a ford employee. Im happy to share the info I have found on the T3, Ive built about a half dozen or so.
Ive never seen a 1.72, they are street series yella terra bolt on 1.65.
Valves are ferrea, springs are crane, retainers are stock rotating type, etc.
Rods are argo, cheap laser cut girdle, crankshaft rebuilders crank and ACL pistons with an 8cc dish and ceramic coat.
Chris
Seen my engine pulled down and wouldn't have said the crank girdle was cheap and my crank was a scat crank. I thought the pistons had teflon coated skirts?

Didn't see the rockers though!
Im not being rude - I mean its just a laser cut piece, not an aftermarket item. The pistons are a ceramic coat.
also - the inlet I think is a beaut item, however the manifolds I have seen have been blessed with residual sand in them.
That girdle CHEAP!! yeah right! I dont think so, it looks pretty good to me......

Wouldn't you love to say that about your car?You loosers
New pistons, rings and conrods (left piston) are locally built and superior to the US items. Each conrod is machined out of a solid billet of steel then shotpeened for extra strength.
Molybdenum disulphide is screen printed then baked on the cast alloy pistons for reduced friction.
Yeah, I know what they write. I'm just telling you what I see in the motors. There aren't any problems with the engines, just calling it as I see it.
Like the boss motors, the ring packs have been changed no less than 3 times, a different material each time, maybe there are variances there somewhere. not sure.
There's a block called Noddy on these forums, I emailed him pics of his engine, PM him for the pics.
Yes sbutler, it is cheap. Its bizzell, and they owe me around 25 dollars each. totally uneccessary for the engine, and a waste of weight.
