Ok Time for more questions

Has anyone run an 80mm throttle body on their boss 290, with just the usual mods i.e extractors, exhaust, cold air and filter, helix spacer (I know it needs a bigger helix)

What sort of results did you get?
Did it loose any bottom end or midrange?
Could it be felt down low or just up top?
What brands do you suggest?

Yeah a lot of people have with differing results,personally i found that it made the car doughy down low but topend was better.I used the SS induction one.

Thanks for the reply.
I actually spoke to Ken form SS Inductions today and he said they are about to release a new 80mm body that has a "helix"' built into it, he says cars are getting between 8-18 rw hp increase and no bottom end loss, but he also said the result is not imediate, it takes 500-600 klms for the computer to relearn the changes.

Don't know how much of this is just a sales pitch, thats why I'm trying to get different opinions from users.

Alex (FPVGT) has done may 13.4 runs back to back and tried an 80mm and didn't go any quicker.

people have had mixed results.

Ive seen a few 80mm T/B's not put together properley, so make sure the operation is ok and free before testing.
