I have heard of 2 owners getting 13.7 seconds. I have driven a manual GT and it feels about right. Not that I think I could launch it that good to get a good time, but by driving it the car does feel like a 13 second car.

All I know is its slower than almost any LS1 Holden. Even the SV8.
Not that I am trying to start a flame! lol
But seriously, there is hardly anything in it.
Please contribute something worthwhile to the discussion, or say nothing at all.
Back to topic, FPV have not given any formal official performance figures so you won't find any!

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
Recorded times by members and auto publications range between 13.7 and 14.3 for stock versions. The fastest time I have seen to date is 13.7 from an auto of all things.
It's a similar case for the XR8 as well with the auto versions outshining the manuals just a fraction in terms of the 400m run. After driving an auto for the first time the other day, this does not surprise me in the slightest.
In sequential mode the car felt physically quicker to drive than both its manual siblings (XR6T & XR8) and delivered its power in a clean precise manner without spoiling the fun of what up until now only a manual V8 provides.
Quite clearly no other V8 on the market (within the $50-60k range) can offer an auto like this and to be quite honest in auto form the BA XR and GT V8’s would clearly be one of the better packages around unequalled by anything Holden/HSV have to offer even in series 2 form.
Yeah I have driven manual and auto (actually the whole BA range) and althought its probably still possible to get better times out of the manual, I know if i wanted a quicker time id get the auto. Manuals are great, but the auto is consistent. I hope BA II see's 6 speed gearboxes coupled with sensible gear ratios.

it wont be to much longer when we will see a gt doing sub 12s, still so much to be untapped in this awsome engine.cam change and also diffrent gearing will play a huge part to get into the 12 sec club. stay tuned...
