GT-P 738

Does anyone know what the difference is (if any) in the vin numbers on these cars.

I have been looking around at S/H BA t's & p's for sale and the vin numbers all start with different prefix before the number : JGSW3M,JGSW4G,JGSW4D,this is what i have seen so far.

What the,and does it mean anything,if so WHAT>

VIN Decoding:

J is for Australia
G is the assembly plant (Broadmeadows)
SW is the body style (SW being an XT or GT Sedan)
4 is the year of manufacture (2004)
D is the month (alphabetically from January - shouldn't be an M)
