Mate to answer your question it wieghs about 1790 then add 3/4 tank of fuel and myself at 85kg.... and my car has 240rwkw not 300rwkw...
Also yes you are right in what you are saying about torque is more important than power as we all know with our cars as they are a vary heavy car. This is why Chris does chase the torque but as we go along we pick the power up as well....Hence we see the Herrod Cammed motors with big kw but no torque where they need it thats why we are out in front with these unopened engines..
But all l can say is The GT has backed up it's RWKW on 2 dyno's so thats good enough for me and others....
Now be a good boy and work out what your car should be able to achieve by looking up this site...
If you don't agree with this common and well known formula, tell me its wrong... but remember, you called me a tool.
Call back when you've worked it all out mate.
PS Engineers use science to achieve performance numbers in every category including vehicle design and racing... You can go on preaching whatever to whom about dynos. I'd rather underpromise and overdeliver than mouth off and looking like a tool at the end of the day.

Potential is good. But lets not forget that traction is not the issue. If the Boss aint producing the mph then there is some question mark around the engines power rating. Any serious drag racer will tell you the same. They'll ask you what mph is the car making...
I guess it's quite hard to believe that a cammed LS1 cannot get near an unopened Boss on the dyno yet the Boss can't get near a cammed LS1 on the track.
I guess the claims being made raise more questions than provide answers. Time will tell.
The 290's that have managed to get to the finish have been doing around the 112mph mark (290+rwkws) but as you said time will tell.

Mate doing those formulas all I could get for my car was 13.279@102.65 is the hp going off rw's and my weight is 4028pounds (including me). Must be doing something wrong.

OFF topic slightly
Ls1's have had the edit for 5 years now (?) and have only cracked an eleven this year, Chris's ute has cracked the 12's and now heading towards low 12's in less than a year of the edit being available, give him time and we shall see what it is capable of, & I'm sure a few more tuners will get in on the act and start producing times near his.
Earlier this year, most people accepted that 112 mph was the maximum for an unopened Ls1 in a full weight car, and now they are getting over 115 +, whats going on with that, I heard a few rumours of these so called "unopened" motors but are not going to discuss them with anyone here.
I had my car tuned by Chris on the same dyno and by the same operator, ( not Chris) that tested a unopened car which ran 11.7 and the commodore (no pipes and with no air filter on it) produced 260rwkw, it was tuned to the max to chase a 1/4 record which it achieved, my car with the factory cat back sysem and tuned by Chris dyno'd 273 rwkw. I posted it on the oppositions forum and was doubted, but nobody doubted the commodores figure, so understand your doubts. The Gt has produced similar results on 2 different dynos and people still doubt it, one dyno even produced 502 rwhp fot the blown G&D commodore, but nobody doubts the dyno reading incorrectly for that one.
As far as the boss not getting anywhere near the LS1's, Chris has offered several times to race Ls1's on an even weight break, but nobody will take up his offer

Good questions ratter.
You know what, its not my intention to turn this thread into a blue vs red debate. Just want to state that there's a few basic mods that get you only so far on results.
The LS1 unopened record keeps changing, you are correct. Why? because the goal posts keep shifting, and there is no scrutineering to police it all. It's not all about edit as people keep alluding to. What am I referring to? Vehicles running underweight by 150kg+ and a lot of other things that are open to interpretation. The Fords are starting to bend the same rules the LS1 boys have been doing. Unopened no longer implies bolt ons... it's taken on a different meaning.
I don't post on the other LS1 forum and I'm not gullible enough to believe all their claims.

Yeah take the RE55s off, and try again.

They allways seem to head that way though

What you said you would work it out.......
And all l can say is that us boys who race these XR8's and GT's that Chris tunes run full street weight we even run with the spare in aswell.....
Well mate l put the car weighs 3968 pounds and they come up wrong every time..
My car has 321hp at the wheels and has ran 13.14@107.8 now you go in and work it out as it comes up wrong most times in favour of having more power then what the dyno says......

I'll say it again...S-L-O-W-M-O.. just for you ... take the RE55s off.
For example Mr ORSMdude, work out the time for a GTS... it works out to 13.3s ,,, and it don't run RE55s like you take to the track!
