BA GT stripes - still has the GT sticker on the side

Hi
I just got my GT - Lightning Strike with Orange stripes. I was expecting that the GT sign on the side would be replaced with the integrated stripe/GT but I actually have the GT sign and the two stripes underneath this.
Can other GT owners confirm that this is how it should be?
Thanks

I've got a GT MKII Lightning Strike with orange stripes. I didn't have to even ask, it was delivered with integrated GT in the stripes without the GT badge.

Sounds like the dealer put them on to me, not FPV.

Bingo! Was the car dealer stock or was it ordered new from FPV?

It was ordered from FPV - I had to wait over 6 weeks for the car.
Thanks for the reply. I will get in touch with the dealer and clear this up. I though this was how it was being delivered these days.

I'd also be checking it is actually a MKII and not a MK1 with the add on's???

Re: BA GT stripes - still has the GT sticker on the side

It seems like a MKII and it is April 2005 build as per the sticker on the driver side A pillar. I suppose they could have fitted the 6 speed onto an old MK1, put the gauges on the centre console, put premium sound/console but this sounds unlikely.

On a side note.... I thought I would miss my AU XR8 but it lasted but half an hour until I drove it out of the city (City Ford).

It pulls far better than the XR8... Just being picky about silly things like stripe I suppose.

Thanks for all the feedback.

And so you should for $66K ..... I'm sure they charged you the full amount of dealer delivery fee. Get them to give you something fo you helping them get their Delaer Delivery QA system in order :-)
