Ba Owner Lives The Tickford Dream

Was at a car show today & spotted this BA XR6...Look closley at the front guard...... Look guys, Tickford is gone, but it seems some, just cannot let it go. It's obvious that fpv are struggling to live up too what Tickford delivered...a relatively high performace quality product.

Re: Ba Owner Lives The Tickford Dream

Here we go again with the whole badge debate. All this fuss because of a couple of T3 owners secretly having badge envy.

Each to their own I say, but in 3FB circles, that's just not a done thing.

Re: Ba Owner Lives The Tickford Dream

I got a Commodore SS badge on my wheely bin. So does this reflect more highly on the commodore or the bin? I was initially concerned that the average Holden fan would actually see this as a desperate attempt at showing my undying support.

Regarding this topic, I think the Tickford badge was a nice looking piece of kit to have on the side of your Falcon. I think many BA XR owners miss this item, but I wouldn’t read into it being anything more than that.

FireFox, you have a great car, we all love the T3’s. There is no need to justify your ‘Tickford’ purchasing decision to anyone including BA owners. I don’t actually think that this was the point of your intentions and you’re just poking some fun. But I would like to make you aware that this is the way your anti 'FPV' and pro 'Tickford 'comments are coming across.

Re: Ba Owner Lives The Tickford Dream

I miss seeing the tickford badges on the fenders on XRs and I think many BA owners do also. I know when I was younger I always hoped one day to have those tickford badges on the side off my car YAY! Now I do!

Re: Ba Owner Lives The Tickford Dream

Yeh same, they should have kept Tickford for the XRs and FPV for the GTs, there would have been nothing wrong with that surely?

Re: Ba Owner Lives The Tickford Dream

I actually think it was a bad move to loose the tickford name.. but in all honosty the same ppl are there doing mostly the same job.. SO its no big deal really.

ENd of the day we all drive fords.. Lets just leave it at that
