GT 0909

Has anyone purchased one yet? Is the GT included? At $990 from Bookworks or the local Ford dealership, I'm finding it a bit hard to justify, although would really love access to circuit diagrams, etc.

Really want more than just a few circuit diagrams. Chasing all sorts of info. Buying manual would make sense, except for the cost. Still trying to find out if GT info is included in the manual - russellw, you said you have the manual, can you tell me if it is in there? I was told that the manual is a four-volume set, sounds like lotsa info there.

Also noticed that the manual for Territory is also $990 - is this Ford's way of punishing you for wanting to work on your own car, instead of paying service department to do it?

Interestingly though, I noticed on Bookworks web site that there are no manuals listed for VX or VY Commodores, factory or aftermarket. Maybe they play the same game as Ford - "Want to know how something works in your new car - well, it's going to cost you big!". Disappointing really...

There is very little GT information - if they follow their usual pattern there will be a GT supplement (in about 2 years time) that will cost extra!

That's probably why my library of manuals, brochures etc. is insured separately!

It takes a lot of work to create the manuals so I guess that's why they cost so much. Even the dealers pay not much less than prices quoted on here.
