There was definately an orange in the XY series...don't think it was called Blood Orange, and wouldn't have been a metallic colour like the current one.

The colour was called vermillian fire. Pretty similar

my preference is Vermillian Fire

Blood Orange is a bit similar to Vermillion Fire (VF has more red), but there was another orange on the XY's, similar to what the bbq trailer is painted in.

XY range had at least 4 orange or similar colours:

Hot Orange - Colour code don't have an example of this
Raw Orange - Colour code "D" - http://www.falcongtclub.org/i/XYGT_D.jpg
Vermillion Fire - Colour code "6" - http://www.falcongtclub.org/i/XYGT_6.jpg
Surfer Orange - Colour code "EY or F 289" - http://www.falcongtclub.org/i/XYGT_EY289.jpg

They also had "spec" which was whatever you wanted!

They are all different to Blood Orange, but as others have said, Vermillion Fire is about the closest.
