Man I want the GT badge and the aggressive (but not overly so) body kit but ditch the shaker. If I want to recall 70's motorcar trends I'll take some acid thankyou very muchly. What's with the stripe, it'll be too excessive for the car and contradict the whole point of having them, because you see a car from the back 90% of them time because it's the car thats infront and I think FPV have done a wicked job on the Spoiler and rear B/K. When you see a car 10% of the time it's from head on or from the side for a split second so who cars about stripes and excessive spoiler. You don't want our FVP turning into a HSV do you *shudder*

Dood the shaker and the Super-roo where 70's man.

This dood was the coolest kid on the block. Is he now, no. He's the one everybody crosses the street to avoid because he's a doped up hippy constantly having acid flashbacks

If they bring back the Stripes and the shaker and the super-roo they may as well bring back the bloody 5.8L windows while they are at it and we can all have 300hp+ cars instead of 400hp+ cars. Things can, and sometimes it's for good reason. Let the GT evolve otherwise we are no better then 70's mentality

Sorry but this is one of the silliest comments I have seen yet. Personally I don't want any of these items on my GT.

I want something that looks sophisticated for today. Not a throwback to the halcyon days. Every design that I've seen trying to relive past glories stuffs it up in some way shape or form.

An integrated, sophisticated design, with a fire-breathing 5.4ltr V8 under the hood. This is what the Ford Performance Vehicles GT is all about.

Nothing I can bitch about except the Ford badge on the front. It should be replaced with and FPV one. Will there ever be an FPV Fairlane? U'd need the 260 motor to get all the power down- it would be impossible with the boss 290. COmpared to the GT, the new Y series HSVs look like Jap Crap.

My dad used to own a XW GT and he was no hippy when he came back from the Vietnam War. He still hates hippies. I just think the GT is too impersonal even the EB GT and EL GT had some distinguising mark from the run of the mil Falcon out there. Otherwise you may as well play with your XR8 motor add 30kw and put a GT badge at the side who the hell could tell the difference? If you want a integrated sophisticated design buy some Teutonic Audi with as much character as a lump of cold steel.

Now this is a car with some character and turn more heads than any BA GT out there. Budda your a legend!

Have you seen the car in the flesh? Been up close & smelt it? If you think this car looks anything like a run of the mill Falcon then you need your glasses prescription upgraded. This car looks the goods!

And yes, an integrated sophisticated design is what the market for this type of vehicle actually want. What is the GT up against? Clubsport alone? Nope.. This car is up against the Audi's, Benz's BMW's of this world. How is the GT going to compete with this class of vehicle with tacky stripes, metric arseloads of badges, & other uneccesary add-ons.

Ford Performance Vehicles have done a brilliant job with this car. Just give it half a chance before it's on sale for christs sake!

Coming from an EA CFI expert (and a self proclaimed one at that) I guess I should expect nothing better.
But you go right ahead and do that ... then at least we will have living proof of where your head is really at.
There is a subtle concept called integrated performance that encompasses the total package - design is only one element of that but it seems to be the one we are fixated on here.
