I ordered a new FPV even before we saw the release thinking good ol' AP will be first little vegemite to be driving one around and everyone else would be jealous as hell. I even signed an order with far less than my usual haggling would have accepted.

Well, a short while later I changed my order but instead of amending my initial order they kept my original order on the system and placed a second order.

Now it seems my original order is amongst the first being built but the 'second' is still not allocated to build (at more than a week later minimum).

Smart sausages!

They get an extra car to sell...... and AP waits longer than planned.

Thing is - I still can't get enough of this!!!!

It sounds like that a bit this side of Oz as well. I might end up with Premium brake pagage and I didn't even order it.

Builds start from 13 Jan if I am correct. My car will be built on or after 24Jan (date to be confirmed of course).

Ok. For those that really want to know how it works, PAY ATTENTION. You Place the order at a dealer, the dealer has a certain amount of allocation of FPV vehicles. EG: 2 GTs, 2 GTPs, 2 Pursuits. If you are First of the 2 people that bought a pursuit then you will be getting the First of the 2 pursuits that the dealer gets. If your theory was correct Aussie Pete, what most dealers can do is write up DUDD orders, get FPV to build the cars and then say the customers cancelled the orders or make any excuse under the sun to turn them into stock cars. If you were the third person to buy a pursuit when the dealer is getting 2 in January builds, then you go into Feb or March depending on when the dealers next allocation of a pursuit. simple isn't it. Hope its made sense cause that's the real story.

Say gadgeman - what about dealers swapping allocations so that a real live customer gets there car sooner? Please tell me this is a common occurrence.

The dealer told me I was right and he thought it was strange too. Bottom line is the first car I ordered has not been sold.

Anyhow, I'm not feeling bad or anything because what's a week or two longer? The car's gonna be great anyhow and I need the extra time to order wheels etc
