Got a call this morning from the salesman at New Oak Ford who sold me the GT. Explained that he has resumed work there after leaving 6 months earlier to start a business. Anyhow asked me how the car was going so gave him the full spiel, ending with its a POS.
He said thats no good, let me get back to you. 5 mins later l get a call from the Service Manager wanting to know when he can get the car in to record the serial numbers so he can order me a new diff. Apparently Dana/Ford have made available a modified diff that has tighter backlash settings and changed bearings (so no whine either) He has replaced the diff in one GT (Adrian, GT522 thanks mate) and he says it is much improved, still slightly there if you intentionally make it clunk (but l can live with that)
Car is booked in next week for its 15000km service and will have the diff replaced the following week so will let you know how l get on.
Re: Driveline shunt; Woohooo l am getting a new diff!

Well done, persistance has paid off, as I said, they have to start treating us all the same, this is the very point I mentioned to Roger Gray on Friday. We all know each other, now its time to help Phil out, his is ALOT worse than mine was, so his turn is comming.
