Yes boys and girls the results are in. the reason im doing this is because i fitted a set of herrod headers and the owner thought that it had lost power. the problem was that the torque droped in the low to mid range giving this effect so i offered to refund if there wasnt results.He was presant the whole time and was very happy to see what he did. The dyno was a dynamics dyno and was done in shootout mode.
The car was a GTP manual with std wheels and had done 6,500 km.
218.8 kw standard
221.3 Bmc air filter
227.8 headers + cats (torque dropped 10 nm)
239.6 unichip (also fixed throttle response)
246.1 cats back stainless system (fixed torque by 15nm but lower in range and more stable)
we have to retune the unichip now that the cats back system is on so there may be a gain again or there may not, but it atleast this gets rid of the bullshit about Mr Herrods system.
Well all i can say is that the dyno day at croyden autosports...a lot of herrod T3 customers (not BA SERIES)walked away very unhappy with their results. A guy with another T3 with an exhaust built by liverpool exhaust and sounded almost identical to the herrod blew them all away.......by 13.6 rwkwts and didn't have any other mods at all...I belive what I see with my own eyes. They too were dynoed in shootout mode.

i honestly thought it would sound chunky when idiling.
im happy with the end result but would like more low down grunt and more V8 RUMBLE when idiling.

get rid of the rediculous mufflers and resonator and put on a pair of magnaflow mufflers.....will sound better than a gtho falcon with a 351 cleveland.
i have two on mine and it rocks.....like i said...you guys aint heard a v8 till ya hear mine.

HI TEZA, i think results speak for themselves they had a 28 kw gain in total, you got the zorst, get the unichip and game over until you get use to the gain then you can go for the blower..

It seems like its a lot of money for not much gain I would wait for bossgt to do all the testing than start spending,at least you will know which way to go.

Liverpool exhaust did the first system cats back and they charged him $1600- on his GT and lost 13kw at the wheels then they had another go and lost a total of 25kw at the wheels thats why he came to me also to ask why is this happening. knowing that i had one myself i wouldnt put something on mine that didnt work.
If you want a deep lumpy sound you must put on the headers as well because the cats back alone wont give you that sound.Now the Herrod cats back stainless i fit for $1400, liverpool charged him $1600 and the Quality is now where as good.
