Hello Poeple

I have just finished Testing the Exedy clutch in my GT falcon and has proved to give some very good results.

Its a little hard to get use to the on / off feature of this clutch.

The standard OEM clutch and flywheel is approx 25kg and the Exedy clutch and fly is 17Kg I also did an dyno before and after and the increase was magic 13rwkw.

Will post results

But if anyone go's for this clutch i recommend you also replace the trust bearing at the same time because mine failed after 10kms due to the added pressure to the pressure plate.

Any clutch people out there know of an improved trust bearing or replacement concentric hydralic slave cylinder.

Standard one is a SKF-BRU-0404 B
Slave cylinder is a AP - PA66GF50 (MADE IN USA)

how do you find it comeing out of the hole on a hard launch, are you still able to ride it or does it just grab & shake the rear wheels lose

Mine was at the right price because I was first test monkey but I belive it will resale for 1800-1900 dollars. This is called Exedy Hypersingle clutch kit which consists of a lighten steel billet flywheel, 6 Paddle soft button clutch plate and 3600pd(1300kg) Pressure plate in a billet alloy light weight case. (Good for 500bhp and is simular to the 4.6 Mustang kit)

However this seems to be ok for those who like drag racing and circuit but don't recommend it to the street driver.

(I still need help with a consentric slave cyclinder and trust bearings)
anyone out there.

Any aftermarket products available

Hi RACEGT. Hve you tried Mal Woods in Warwick, Qld?. If anybody knows where to get the A/M thrust bearing Mal will.

got the dyno sheets? i'd be interested to see how the torque is affected by the lightened fly wheel.

Note that my car only has Underdrives Fitted, Exedy Clutch, 80mm CAPA throttle body, BPT 80 Helix, BPT Style Cold Air and Std Exhaust with no front muffler.

So can the clutch still be ridden off the line to get to the limit of traction vs wheelspin or is it a bit hit and miss, either on or off like a button clutch?
