Hi, I've put my order in for a MKII GT (Leather, stripes, no sunroof or other items that add delays), Ford tells me the car started being buit on October 14th, FPV received the car on October 21, how long should it be before the dealer gets it, and then me? Anyone with practical experience?

After FPV finish with it ....it goes to a Toll holding yard until they deliver it to the dealer.....its in there for about a week then 3 or 4 days to predeliver it

Thanks Guys, seems to take forever to get a new car though!
Anyway, it will be worth the wait in end.

By the way Silver GT, I've ordered Lightning strike with Black stripes (and bonnet badges), what colour silver, and stripes did you pick?

Interestingly, I just sold my Black XR8 (your old car also black?), colour looked good just after a polish, but went down hill quickly afterward... you may agree? I hoping Silver will be lower maintenance!

Congratulations on your purchase, love the stripes but i dont know about the stripe "thingys" on the bonnet bulge, will have to reserve my judgement until i see one in the flesh
