The new GT(40) is going to be called the Ford GT. Still I doubt it will be sold in Australia.

This is incorrect!!!!

The last Falcon G.T. to have a Falcon badge externally was the XY. The XA, XB EB and EL DID NOT have any Falcon badging on the exterior.

Don't know enough about XA & XB history to comment, but that's true for EB & EL.

GT badge REPLACED Falcon badge in the only place it appears on the cars - the boot lid!

I think it would be better if the Ford badges were replaced with FPV badges. They would look better. The Falcon badge wouldn't be necissary as everyone knows it is a Falcon.

Yes, it is true, perhaps having the Falcon badging would make it look like there was more of a direct link to the base Falcon...??

Sorry about being wrong about the older model GTs now having the Falcon badge... I had a funny feeling the EB and EL didn't.... had know idea about the Xa / XB not having Falcon on them!!

However I do still believe the GT should have FALCON badged on it somewhere.... after all, no one is going to call it a Ford GT or FPV GT......... it's a FALCON GT! Although what FM said is kinda right... Anyway the Poll is in favour of the Falcon badge... So come on David, bring us the Ford Falcon GT!

You'd be surprised how many people don't know that the Falcon is part of the Ford family!!
I don't know if its just the people I associate with, but when they ask what I drive, and I say 'a Falcon', quite often I will get a response along the lines of

I say whack a Falcon badge or two on it, but not displayed as prominently as it is on the rest of the line-up. (still want to keep an element of exclusivity about the car!)
