I've got a fair idea, however does anyone know for sure when Ford/FPV are going to release pricing and specs for XR8 and FPV ranges? I thought it was late November/early december which suggests we may be close.......
I am dying to know what I signed for!

If your an '8' man/girl it will be. From a source on LS1, can't remember now the name, but he works at or for Ford and has been in the XR6T and XR8 side by side. He claimed the XR8 is the ducks guts, though not as fast as the turbo on the twisties. From 0-100 the XR8 was claimed to be 2 car lengths in front of the turbo. The torque and sound of the XR8 was something else again.
Richo is the guy you are talking about. He posts on here too.
I must say the Acid Rush colour looks much better in the flesh rather than photos. Stands out like dogs gonads.

2 car lengths on the XR6 turbo 0-100???? somehow i don't think that adds up. The XR6t already does 6.0 sec flat, and 2 car lengths would put the XR8 at around 4.6 seconds 0-100. Maybe the GT if bloody lucky, but not the XR8. What speed was he doing????? or did u mean the 400m run???? But still either way, 2 car lengths is a lot to bloody pull out!!!!!!!!!

I recon the XR8 will tear down 400m in about 13.8secs and 0-100 in about 5.5, 5.7 maybe. Gt will probably do 400m in about 13.4 and 0-100 5.2 or so it will match the GTS. If Ford decide to bring back the GTHO it will go close the breaking the 11sec mark standing 400m and 0-100 in the low to mid 4's.

I always consider SIDO number day to be the true point of celebration. Then you know you truly have a car in the system!

I think with with these motors Vortech, Paxton,Kenny Bell, best bang for buck for sure..Head gasgets and blocks handle the boost / power well...
