My dads looking at purchasing a GT. A few questions. Is it worth paying the extra for the GT-P. After a while, will putting an auto GT through its paces (not thrashing it) but using the power, will the tranny start doing the usual Ford automatic clunking sound and feel on kickdown? What is the case for the rest of the BA range. Eg I am borrowing an AU Fairmont Ghia which is doing it, and its reminding me of our EA days...

As far as i'm concerned you won't have any problems with the auto,they are bullet prove just fantastic and are great to play around with, especially Sequential Sports Shift.And as Paying extra for the GTP if you can afford it go for it, those Brembo brakes are worth it alone and then you will also have the comfort of the Duel Climate Control.

thanks mate, thats a big help. are the seats as comfortable in the GTP? They look more firm for racing, but what about cruising comfort?

There firm and really hold you in and i find them quite comfortable,leather seats that i'm talking about.

You actually get better seats in the GTP and I agree with everything GTp 320 stated.

But then again, I got a GTP and could be bias!!!
