For those of you that are interested, there is an easy way to properly fit 275 X 35 rear rubber to your GT/GT-P.
Ray Billeau & Sons - General Engineering in QLD, just re-engineered my rear factory wheels to be an inch wider with and extra 4mm offset. (I also had the guards rolled)
They look bloody awesome. I also had all four wheels fully machine polished. The wheels now have Michelin Pilot Sport tyres all round. WAAAYYYYYYYYYYY !!!! better than the Dunlops in ride, noise and grip quality.
I strongly recomend this modification, if like me, you are experiencing a serious lack of rear wheel grip, after performance modifications.
by the sounds of it they machined the inner edges from were the tyre mounts to the bead making it thinner to allow the fitment of a wider tyre, would that be right

Has this been done before? If so, was there any complications? Is it legal? No problems with ADR? I wonder if doing this will not cause complications with insurance? I guess what ever they don't know won't hurt them.
