I went up to the GT Nats in Bathurst on Saturday to check out all the fantastic old GTs and also to check out the new FPV range of vehicles. The GTs were great, I've never seen so many all in the one place at the one time. It was truly Blue Oval heaven!
FPV had a pavillion packed with an example of GT, GT-P and Pursuit ute. Fantastic looking cars. Unfortunately the brochures with pics and specs of the FPV vehicles that were being given away showed a different rear spoiler than to what was displayed on the actual vehicles. The "new" spoiler had the support in the middle and the pics n the brochure didn't. I'm not sure if the bonnet bulge was the old one as well, most likely it was too. You'd think if Ford went to all the trouble and expense to print up these brochures and posters they would at least have an accurate picture of the cars they are trying to sell on them! Another slightly dissapointing thing was the lack of new colours on show. The GT-P was Venom red, the GT was Acid Rush and the Pursuit ute was Bluprint. I was expecting maybe the blood orange or the new green.
I will post some pics later.

possibly now i could be wrong. maybe it was a mistake on FPV's part. Maybe it was a way to get rid of excess inventory...who knows why they did what they did with the brochures.
Remember though that printing costs are not cheap especially in full color brochures like what FPV has been and will more than likely issue.
Dont get me wrong here. i have no idea why they used older ones. Maybe someone from FPV or Ford themselves can answer that.
I have to defend the FPV effort at bathurst - I give it a thumbs up.
Firstly the cars were great and the colour mix was good. There's always going to be people who want to see a different colour. FPV probably had to choose a few cars out of its inventory to show a range of options and trims which I think the three cars did very well. Also, they went to a lot of trouble and effort to ship cars before the embargo date to satisfy the GT boys and gals.
My only negative would be that viewing the cars cost me a further 4 figures in options........ (damn!)

The display held by FPV was great and the cars and info available satisfied most of the people in attendance.
I think it was a great idea for FPV to preview their new range of cars at the Falcon GT Nationals.

well, i know the bonnet bulge was made bigger than Ford had first advertised the car... apparently it didnt look really appealing so they went back to the drawing board and made it bigger...
