The upcoming Ford Performance Vehicles GT, GT-P and Pursuit have caught the imagination of Ford dealers around Australia with 67 already signed up to become authorised Ford Performance Vehicles dealers.
FPV Managing Director, David Flint, is delighted at the response from Ford dealers.
"The reaction from dealers to the three vehicles currently on our list – and their eagerness for any other potential future models we may produce – has been fantastic.
"It mirrors the reaction from customers to the vehicles we displayed at the Sydney Motor Show," said David.
"However, just wanting to become a Ford Performance Vehicles dealer isn't enough. All 67 of the dealers we've signed up have agreed to a set of operating principles that will ensure our customers get the best service at all times."
Each state and territory will have at least one Ford Performance Vehicles dealer, with dealership locations ranging from Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to the centre of Sydney.
The dealerships will be easily identified from early 2003 by their prominent Ford Performance Vehicles signage and FPV branded showroom facilities.
Although the FPV range of vehicles will be produced in low volumes, each dealer will also have representative FPV models in stock for display and demonstration purposes.
"Even though many buyers are already ordering new FPV models sight-unseen before prices are announced, most buyers of premium models need to assess their prospective purchase in careful detail," says David.
In addition to the 67 authorised FPV dealers, enthusiasts without access to an authorised dealer can order their vehicle from any one of the 232 Ford retail sites around Australia.
"We wanted to give our customers the option of where they buy their vehicle," says David.
"While the 67 authorised dealers will have prominent signage, specially trained service staff and vehicles for display and demonstrations, other Ford dealers can sell a vehicle by ordering through an authorised FPV dealer. They will also be provided with the training necessary to handle service requirements."
