Following on from some comments made by the infamous Mr Sparkle here is a link to a Ford-News article that looks at the FPV GT against a few other vehicles.
One thing that interests me is the comparison between the GT and the M5. Power to weight and a torque to weight numbers that are pretty close, yet the M5 hoses it to 100 and down the 1/4. Perhaps a result of the GT being a pig to launch and an area for FPV to improve on?
The GTS also interested me in that most of us have commented what a rip off it is, but it looks like it performs well for the bucks.
That's some great work there Russell, cheers.

The figure is correct and the power to weight gong did indeed go incorrectly to the E55,
It was correctly entered in the weightings so the results are unchanged.
That's just the kind of report I was going to work on! The conclusions drawn from the stats basically line up with what I was working with as well, and it is a very very interesting read, and something that both FPV and Ford fans in general can learn from.
Excellent stuff.

Clicky clicky here for previous ride! I still miss her!
I'd just like to see a revision of the article with the 6 speed manual Audi S6 instead of the Automatic, which would bring its 0-100 to 5.7 intead of 6.89!
