Motor Magasine July edition have lined up Fords and Holdens again. 9 car which are Holdens Caprice, GTS, Clubsport, CV8 & SS and Fords XR8, XR6T and FPV GT. The cars were put to test and on dyno and at the end they rated each car out of 1000. The list below is the cars in order score ranking:
How does the 182 kw SS post a 13.97 400m? This is tripe. When the 196kw clubsport "only" got a 14.06. I read in "wheels" magazine a few issues back that the VY SS was "only" good for a 14.5.

There is a GTS sedan and GTS coupe. Maybe it's the sedan I don't know, I don't know why I thought it was the Coupe either though. But my point is that whether it have 2 or 4 doors, it would still suffer the same drivetrain powerloss being an auto. And what I am asking is if the GTS was auto, which could explain having less power at the wheels than the GT if the GT was manual due to the aforementioned extra drivetrain powerloss expereinced with cars that have automatic transmissions fitted.

It’s a not surprising that the GT is in fact outputting more rear wheel power than the GTS. The problem is the GT has two distinct factors that go against it compared to the GTS i.e. weight and gearing.
Like all journo's they would post different results tomarrow if it meant selling a story,I bet they will post some results in future editions that wil be totally different.

It total hogwash, they're supposed to inform us, but they twist the truth to allow themselves to blurt out a different headline every month. Where the correct result could have been revealed in one issue.
