How does the 182 kw SS post a 13.97 400m? This is tripe. When the 196kw clubsport "only" got a 14.06. I read in "wheels" magazine a few issues back that the VY SS was "only" good for a 14.5.

It is interesting, when Ford claimed 290 kw for the GT, and Holdon have claimed 300 kw for the GTS, so it looks like the boss is indeed "the boss".

Was the GTS Coupe auto? Maybe that could explain the extra drivetrain power loss?

Cobra-The GTS would've been a sedan, true? The monaro, of course, is a coupe.

There is a GTS sedan and GTS coupe. Maybe it's the sedan I don't know, I don't know why I thought it was the Coupe either though. But my point is that whether it have 2 or 4 doors, it would still suffer the same drivetrain powerloss being an auto. And what I am asking is if the GTS was auto, which could explain having less power at the wheels than the GT if the GT was manual due to the aforementioned extra drivetrain powerloss expereinced with cars that have automatic transmissions fitted.

Its a not surprising that the GT is in fact outputting more rear wheel power than the GTS. The problem is the GT has two distinct factors that go against it compared to the GTS i.e. weight and gearing.

Gearing can be an easy fix, weight not so...

It total hogwash, they're supposed to inform us, but they twist the truth to allow themselves to blurt out a different headline every month. Where the correct result could have been revealed in one issue.
