I was at the Ford and Holden show in perth on the weekend and overheard a guy saying Ford was going to give him a FPV GT as a rolling shell as well as Motor and gearbox and he was going to build a showcar to win every show.I dont know how true this may be but some other people heard the same story and i was told he has already spoken to some of the big guys at FPV.If such a car was to be built wouldnt Ford use someone like Herrod or the Hilliers to build the car, someone with a Ford background?

Yeah I'd definately expect it to be Hillier and/or Herrod to do it.

if it is true, why would you assume that the "guy" wasn't representing Herrod, or Hilliers or does infact have a "ford background"???????????????

Because i know his background and it is far from being ford orientated. besides if you are a die hard ford fan and you were going to build a car to be in the top ten at summernats wouldnt you build a ford first and not an LC torana.

I didnt want to specify his name or his car for that matter in my original post i just wanted to see what people thought of and outsider building potentially one of australias best show cars.
