I've heard rumours that there is to be a GTHO, is this true? If so when can we buy one??

From my understanding is that they have dicussed it, but havent actually started doing anything yet with it. It might be a few years before it comes out.

there is one coming and its at least a year away- my guess it 380kw BOSS engine or the lightwieght 372kw supercharged 5.4 that was in the GT40 concept. apperantly the engine designer told Ford aus " just ask "

the gtho is going to have a motor that is not in the current line up and it will be a NA after all the gtho was a detuned race car so the motor should just be a detuned unit from a supercar

My guess is that IF FPV bring one out, they will still be restricted by the gearbox. It's obvious that they don't want to play with the T56 or TKO, so they are always going to be limited to < 600Nm whether we like it or not. Let's not get carried away with the GT40 concept engine, face the facts - we will NOT get that in a Falcon! A GTHO would run a variant of the Boss290, anything else would not be cost effective.

I'm tipping 330kW and 560Nm.

I heard somewhere that the GTHO comes out July 2004 or 2005.

We already have the awesome GT, but a GTHO would top the range off, it needs to whip the holden GTS's butt though...of course! With the heavy Barra as a platform, it'd need att least 350 kw.
